After ordering sushi one time last year, it's been love since first spicy tuna. One time I ate a whole wad of wasabi by accident, thinking that it was avocado, but even that nose-dripping, eyes-watering experience could halt my love of raw fish covered in rice. The chain "Wasabi" is pretty big here in central London, and you can find one on just about every street corner but Emily, my food partner in crime, and I decided to try some more local venues with more creative options. We settled on a place called Taro in Soho that was cute and quaint, and also conveniently located next to a sweet shop (strategic of me, right?) I mean what's dinner without a little dessert? Between the two of us, Emily and I ordered spicy tuna, California rolls, and shrimp tempura maki. The service was speedy and the food was delicious. I can definitely see myself popping back over for some more sushi finds. I left feeling happy and fish-filled and topped of the night with a mini nutella pancake, courtesy of Scoops, the sweet shop next door. They gave me a really shitty milkshake (GELATO AND WARM MILK?) but I did see out of the corner of my eye a crepe machine. Will investigate further and report back.
